I was so scared to get the procedure done, but the staff and the surgeon are amazing. I can't tell you how many times they held my hands because I was shaking and was letting the fear take over. During the procedure, they communicated EVERYTHING while it was happening. Recovery was a breeze. Now I can see great without glasses. I highly recommend them.

Overall I had a wonderful experience here. Very friendly staff, clean environment, caring and very communicative of the whole process. There was no wait time for my smile consultation, I did have to wait for like 30 minutes after my appointment time to get seen the second time for my pre-opt. The next two times, there wasn’t any wait time. Everything was quick and everyone was really friendly, especially Brandon! They made Laser eye surgery less terrifying and more like a walk through the park. The surgery was overall painless. The only weird thing I encountered is that the first paper that you sign states that the preopt costs $300 but if you make your appointment that day of your free consultation, then it would be150 (something along this amount) instead and that it would count as part of your surgery amount if you proceed. I set up my preopt that same day to get that deal. At my next appointment in the end they told me I had to pay my preopt part that was $500 and then $145 for a glaucoma test (this one I chose to get tested on), and not to worry because that $500 would go toward the overall cost of the surgery. So I paid 645 that day. So I did not get that discount for setting up the appointment that day of the free consultation and the preopt is also $200 more than stated on the sheet. So there’s actually no discount if you set up your preopt that day in a way, it’s really confusing lol Other than that small bump, it’s been great! Thank you!

This place is amazing! Dr.Kyle Maclean is very professional nice and friendly! My vision is getting better! and also there are bunch of wonderful stuff! Thanks for Ashley was so sweet and nice to take care of me! And the front is always smiling! There was two gentleman who helped me checked my eyes was super friendly and gentle! Thanks for the professional team!

Dr. Gicheru and his staff at LaserCare Eye Center in Las Colinas couldn’t be more pleasant and enjoyable to visit! The staff is helpful and welcoming, attentive to the needs of the patient. Dani, in particular was kind, gentle and understanding, explaining each step of the process she was about to do with me! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gicheru for over 15 years and appreciate his enthusiasm, warmth, caring, explanations and attention to detail. I couldn’t have asked for anyone one better in the field of Ophthalmology! I highly recommend LaserCare Eye Center!

Edit: Almost a year later, still doing well. Old: I'm only a few days post-operation but had an amazing experience at the Plano and Irving locations. They were really amazing especially during the procedure about explaining everything. I'm seeing great and I hope that continues to improve. The only criticism I could give would be on two points specifically, I don't feel like the punctal plugs were properly warned or explained about before my pre-op visit. They didn't hurt and we're perfectly fine but I could see others wanting a little more warning before having those done same day. The other critique would be regarding dilation, I think all forms should be explained and gone over before dilation is given on the pre-op day because being nearsighted I had an extremely difficult time trying to read anything I was signing as my vision became more blurry. That's not that great for agreeing to contracts and could get them into trouble. Those are my two constructive criticisms but overall it was a great experience and I've had no extreme issues as of yet.
